The ‘Jik (the sun)’ story is inspired by arguably the most significant iconic shape in all cultures, that is the circle; with nature’s greatest circle being the sun. Tarisse remembers her father, the late William King Jungala, telling her stories about the Sun, the “life giver to all”.

Tarisse King was born in Adelaide, South Australia on the 4th September 1986. She is the older sister to fellow artist, Sarrita King and daughter to the late highly regarded artist, William King Jungala (1966 – 2007).
