After two years of lockdowns and restrictions we are inviting you for our new exhibition ‘Connections’ in The Netherlands. Maliyaa has collaborated with Aboriginal Art Amsterdam and this distinctive new gallery in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel has an exciting and innovative collection from leading artists and upcoming talents. We have asked five artists (Arkeria Rose Armstrong, Jeannie Mills Pwerle, Nellie Marks Nakamarra, Reanelle jurra Nungarrayi and Kurun Warun) to paint exclusively for this exhibition and we are thrilled with the result. ‘Connections’ is not just a story about dreamings and Aboriginal culture, but also about Maliyaa and the collaboration with Aboriginal Art Amsterdam.
We invite you to come and join us on our opening night, Friday March 18th from 8pm. Guus Overkamp, the passionate owner of Aboriginal Art Amsterdam, and I will be hosting this event. In case you are not able to attend our opening night, you are more than welcome to come and drop by Saturday March 19th or Sunday March 20th. Both days the gallery is open from 12 to 5pm.
Gallery address Aboriginal Art Amsterdam:
Kerkstraat 31, 1191JD in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel
We are looking forward to see you in person and share our ‘Connections’ with you.
