After William passed away Tarisse would feel connected to her father through her artwork but she always felt a longing to connect more with her Australian Indigenous culture.
Tarisse regularly travels back to her ancestors lands, the Gurrindji country. And now she brings her 3 daughters. Tarisse has enjoyed sharing the stories and history of their Gurrindji Ancestors. This new series of artworks are a representation of these trips and the handing down of the stories to her children.
Tarisse King was born in Adelaide, South Australia on the 4th September 1986. She is the older sister to fellow artist, Sarrita King and daughter to the late highly regarded artist, William King Jungala (1966 – 2007).
