Story

Bagay Maarama means ‘River stone’. My grandmother would tell me stories of her childhood diving into the clear running river to collect gem stones. The stones would sparkle in the water. Our people are deeply connected to this Country and collection of gemstones was from a time when things were changing . As a little girl we visited nana and splashed around and then we would sit in the water and shared her memory of this special place .The swirling circles of blue show the stones in the river the gemstones are just one piece of our beautiful Country.
