Maliyaa is a long-time member of the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia. This is an Industry Code of Conduct established to promote ethical trading in the Indigenous art market. It promotes integrity, transparency and accountability in dealings between Dealers and Artists. Galleries who sign up to the Code commit to support the Code’s ethical trading standard. Which include fair and honest dealings with Indigenous artists and respect for indigenous artist’ cultural practice and rights. All artworks must also come with a certificate of authenticity, which guarantees a fair and reasonable payment to the artist.
